Teacher held in teen rape

A LONG IS­LAND high school teach­ing as­sis­tant was ar­rested Thurs­day for rap­ing a 15-year-old stu­dent, Suf­folk po­lice said.

Mar­cus John­son, 27, of Bay Shore, was busted for al­legedly sex­u­ally abus­ing the vic­tim for more than a year.

John­son works with chil­dren with autism at Bay Shore High School, po­lice said.

He is ac­cused of abus­ing the vic­tim start­ing when she was 14. The vic­tim was not one of his stu­dents.

John­son is charged with rape and en­dan­ger­ing the wel­fare of a child.
