Costs ‘sore’ for Yank tix

-

PINSTRIPES are pricey.

If you want to go to the Stadium to see the Yankees extend their playoff run, it’s going to cost you.

According to TicketIQ.com, a secondary ticket broker, ticket prices for Games 3 and 4 against the Cleveland Indians at Yankee Stadium will set fans back an average of $348.

“That’s ridiculous,” said Yankee fan Chris Martin, 56. “The average person cannot afford that. I’m thrilled that they’re in the playoffs, but that’s very high.”

Only the Chicago Cubs, who are playing the Washington Nationals in the National League Divisional Series, are fetching an average higher price — $402 — for games at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs won the World Series last year.

The cheapest tickets available are selling for $74, the agency said.

In 2012, the Yankees’ last trip to the American League Division Series, tickets were going for an average of $213.

That year, the Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles in the Division Series, only to be swept by the Detroit Tigers in the next round.
