BuzzFeed caught in Blaz-time warp

A LATE Mayor de Blasio briefly talked trending topics with the editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed Friday — arriving just in time to close out the site’s live morning show.

Hizzoner was slated to go on the air during the first half of the show, hosted by Saeed Jones and Isaac Fitzgerald and airing live on Twitter, but he was late — leaving the crew moving around segments to make it work.

Hizzoner wound up closing out the show — with his segment airing immediately after an interview with a college student who has become a viral meme after another student took videos of him saying “ciao.”

De Blasio was slated to go live around 10:24. He walked into the studio around 10:45. The show ends at 11. Spokesman Eric Phillips said the mayor was delayed to speak by phone with a school safety agent who had been attacked by a student.
