Says cop-kill susp had gun

A WITNESS testified Friday that he saw an accused cop killer drop his gun while running from the scene of the May 2015 slaying of NYPD Officer Brian Moore.

Abdul Sadhik took the stand at Demetrius Blackwell’s murder trial to describe seeing the suspect’s clumsy getaway through homes on 104th Road in Queens Village.

“When he jumped the fence, he fell, got up and then walked out onto the sidewalk,” Sadhik, 55, told the jury. “As he was walking, the gun fell out of his pocket. He picked it up and stuck it back in his pants.”

Prosecutors say Moore and his partner drove up to Blackwell, 37, while responding to calls of a man throwing cinder blocks through a window.

After spotting the officers, Blackwell walked in the other direction on 212th St. in Queens Village.

He appeared to adjust something on his waist, prompting the officers to command him to stop.

Blackwell instead swung around and opened fire, striking Moore in the head, prosecutors say.

Officer Michael Ricci testified that the gun mysteriously appeared in the backyard of a home a day after police combed through the property.

Ricci recalled not finding anything on May 3 as he and several other officers searched the house and yard at 212-19 104th Road.

But when he returned the next day, the gun turned up in the backyard.

“There was a rather large 2x2 cardboard box right by the rear barbecue area that wasn’t there before,” he testified.

“I looked at it and gingerly tipped it over with my right foot and saw the firearm that we were looking for. A silver firearm was revealed. I shouted, “Gun!” Then several officers came over.”
