- Esha Ray, Adam Shrier and Graham Rayman

AN OFF-DUTY cop slapped his wife so hard that he knocked off her wig — and choked, kicked and threatened to kill her — during a nearly four-day rampage, according to court records.

Jeffrey Augustin’s alleged assaults ended early Thursday, when authorities say the Staten Island man was arrested after phoning his wife and shouting, “B---h, I live there, too. I will f---ing kill you.”

It all started Sunday around noon, when the couple argued bitterly over finances in their house near Richmond Terrace and Wall St. in St. George.

Augustin, 43, allegedly choked his wife, grabbed her arms and kicked her in her right shin.

At about 6 p.m. Monday, he allegedly slapped her with an open hand and knocked off her wig.

At 11:39 p.m. Wednesday, he called and allegedly threatened her life.

Augustin was arrested around 4 a.m., police said, and charged with aggravated harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing and assault.

He was arraigned Thursday and released on his own recognizance.
