Riled by her Russia slap, he calls her biggest loser ever

- BY DENIS SLATTERY

HERE WE GO AGAIN.

President Trump attacked Hillary Clinton on Saturday — mocking her for losing her presidential bid and encouraging the “worst loser of all time” to “give it another try.”

Trump lashed out at his former Democratic rival after she said in an interview published a day earlier that she stands by her campaign claim that Trump would be Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “puppet” if he won.

Clinton also questioned the legitimacy of last year’s election results, likely drawing Trump’s ire.

Russia’s attempts to sway voters in favor of Trump “wasn’t just influencing voters,” Clinton told Mother Jones. “It was determining the outcome.”

Pointing to what she called “voter suppression” in Wisconsin, Clinton said, “It seems likely that it cost me the election.”

Trump, who lost the popular vote to Clinton by 3 million ballots, blew his top on Twitter — encouraging her to run against him in 2020.

“She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party,” he wrote. “Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!”

Trump called Clinton “the worst (and biggest) loser of all time.”

Clinton said she still struggles with the idea that voters were not

affected by Trump’s bullying of his rival candidates on the campaign trail, but chalked it up to his celebrity status.

“I don’t understand a lot about how he got away with so many attacks and insults and behaviors that allowed him to win the presidency,” she said. “I think part of it is because a lot of people really saw him more as an entertainment figure.”

Clinton, who claims she has no plans to run for office, said while she questions the legitimacy of Trump’s win, she doesn’t think impeachment is the answer.

On Wednesday, Democrats in Congress introduced articles of impeachment against Trump, but Clinton thinks that’s the wrong approach. “I think we need the investigations to continue,” she told Mother Jones, “and I think that it’s premature.”

Trump has repeatedly denied that he or his campaign colluded with Russia and continues to question the U.S. intelligence community’s assessment that the Kremlin interfered in the contest.
