Trump tax plan hits seniors: Bill

IT’S NOT JUST homeowners — seniors will be hit hard by President Trump’s tax plan, Mayor de Blasio said during a rally outside Trump Tower on Tuesday.

“No one is going to be hurt more than seniors on fixed incomes. They don’t have more to give. But this plan is going to cut them to the bone,” de Blasio said.

The $1.5 trillion tax plan would trigger massive cuts to Medicare under rules requiring Congress to pay as it goes, according to the Congressional Budget Office — which the mayor, who was joined by seniors, unions and other politicians, ripped as a betrayal.

Hizzoner has focused heavily on the tax plan in recent weeks — blasting it as dangerous to homeowners in the city for its removal of the state and local tax deduction.
