Nick Carter raped me, singer says

FORMER Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter is the latest celebrity to be accused of sexual assault.

Melissa Schuman, an actress and singer best known for the allgirl teen band Dream, said Tuesday that Carter raped her in 2002 — when she was an 18-year-old virgin, she claims.

In a lengthy and graphic post on her personal blog, Schuman, now 33, said she was shooting the madefor-TV movie “The Hollow” with Carter, then 22, when he invited Schuman and her friend back to his Santa Monica apartment for drinks.

After a few shots, Carter (photo) took Schuman into a separate room, where he allegedly forced her to have sex, she wrote.

“It was done. The one thing I had held as a virtue had been ruined,” she wrote.

Her former manager, Nils Larsen, urged her not to press charges because Carter had “the most powerful litigator in the country.”

A rep for Carter did not return a request for comment.
