Ben McAdoo does not want his players to overindulge the rest of the holiday weekend. The Giants head coach had a simple message for his team, which has the next three days off after playing on a short week on Thursday:

“Come back on time with your weight right. That’s a good start.”

McAdoo’s stern message comes almost four weeks after three players did not report on time following the Giants bye week.

Janoris Jenkins was one of those players and was suspended for a game because he did not communicate to the team why he was not there.

As for the weight, well, Justin Pugh is hosting the offensive line for a ‘Friendsgiving’ that will include 65 pounds of turkey plus more food, so they better be ready by Tuesday when they report back to East Rutherford. his old form, but he’s still getting hit in the pocket.

The Giants corner was fined $6,076 by the NFL on Friday after he tossed the football into the stands following his interception against the Chiefs during Sunday’s 12-9 overtime win.

Jenkins picked off an Alex Smith pass late in the fourth quarter and returned it 23 yards to set up a go-ahead field goal for the Giants.

The interception came two weeks after he was suspended for violating team policy and one week after he received criticism for his lack of effort in a loss to the 49ers.

Chiefs linebacker Terrance Smith was also fined $24,309 for his blindside hit on Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie during a punt return in that game. ankle on his interception returned for a touchdown.

McAdoo would not rule out the injury possibly being longterm or ending his season, either.

“He’s in some pain right now,” McAdoo said. “It’s a possibility.”

Linebacker Deontae Skinner also suffered a hamstring injury while wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who was inactive due to migraines, remains on the injury report.

McAdoo also reiterated Eli Apple was a healthy scratch because he had not played any football in a while, and dismissed the idea Apple was inactive for disciplinary reasons.
