-

Jordan Barnett had 19 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, Kassius Robertson added 17 points, and Missouri beat St. John’s 90-82 in the semifinals of the Advocare Invitational on Friday.

Missouri (5-1) has won consecutive games since announcing that starting guard Michael Porter Jr. will miss the remainder of the season with back surgery. The Tigers led by as many as 16 points in the first half but St. John’s rallied to take a 58-50 lead with 12:20 left in the game.

Then Missouri hit 10 of its final 12 shots from the floor and went on an 11-2 run to take the lead for good.

Shamorie Ponds had a career-high 31 points for the Red Storm (5-1), who were attempting to start the season 6-0 for the first time since 2009-10.

“I thought we got off to a bad start,” Red Storm coach Chris Mullin said. “(But we) didn’t let it affect our attitudes. We got back in it before the end of the half ... but they came out on the winning end.”

The Tigers shot 52 percent (14-of-27) on 3-pointers, held a 41-27 rebounding advantage and led for 27:42 of the game.

l Desi Rodriguez scored a season-high 27 points as No. 20 Seton Hall overcame a sluggish first half and beat Vanderbilt 72-59 in the consolation game of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Barclays Center.

Rodriguez came within three of his career high and matched his second-highest point total. He made 12 of 21 shots and keyed an offense, which shot 46.6 percent overall.

Angel Delgado added 15 points and eight rebounds for Seton Hall (5-1).

l Freshman Marvin Bagley III had a career-high 34 points and added 15 rebounds, and No. 1 Duke rallied to defeat Texas 8578 in overtime in the semifinals of the PK80 Invitational.

Gary Trent Jr. added 17 points for the Blue Devils (7-0), who trailed by 16 points in the second half and were forced to play five freshmen once senior Grayson Allen fouled out.

Duke advanced to play the winner of Friday night’s late game between No. 7 Florida and No. 17 Gonzaga for the title on Sunday. l Mikal Bridges scored 18 points and No. 5 Villanova pulled away down the stretch to beat Northern Iowa 64-50 in the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

l Dakota Mathias scored 24 points to help No. 18 Purdue roll past No. 2 Arizona 89-64 in the seventh-place game at the Battle 4 Atlantis, sending the Wildcats home with three losses in three days.

The Boilermakers (5-2) and Wildcats found themselves playing the final game just to salvage a win. Now, shockingly, Arizona (33) is the lone team leaving the Bahamas with an 0-3 tournament record.

l Tom Lacey scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half when Shawn Anderson had 10 of his 13 and Navy turned back St. Francis Brooklyn 85-76 in the round-robin FGCU Shootout in Fort Myers.
