Creep held in bid to lure girl

-

COPS ARRESTED a Scarsdale man they say tried to lure a 12-yearold girl into his SUV in the Bronx — and crashed into a parked school bus to escape firefighters who intervened, police said Thursday.

The girl told police she was waiting for a bus on Henry Hudson Parkway East near 246th St. in Riverdale when a stranger rolled up in a gray Toyota RAV4 at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The creep motioned repeatedly for her to get into the vehicle, she later told cops.

Instead, she alerted nearby firefighters at Engine Company 52. Seeing the smoke-eaters, the creep tried to drive off. He slammed into a school bus with eight kids onboard and vaulted a sidewalk as he sped away, cops said. No one was injured.

Cops, with a partial license plate number, tracked down and arrested Jeremy Goldberg, 28, at his home and charged him with luring, reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of a crash.
