Man shot in car is critically hurt
A PAIR of attackers ambushed a man in his car outside a Queens housing development, shooting and critically wounding him Sunday night, cops said.
The 26-year-old victim was sitting in a gray Volkswagen four-door sedan, parked in the Astoria Houses lot on Astoria Blvd. at Eighth St. at about 8:45 p.m. when two men approached him, police said.
At least one of them opened fire, shooting the man once in the back, cops said. Medics took him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in critical condition.
In an unrelated incident, a 29-year-old man was found unconscious and bleeding from life-threatening puncture wounds to his arm and legs on Farmers Blvd. at Jordan Ave. in St. Albans.
