Susp in slay on deli clerk
A POTENTIAL suspect was being questioned Wednesday in the killing of an elderly Brooklyn deli clerk, police sources said.
Abdulla Yafaee, 80, was working at the 797 Deli on Stanley Ave. at Ashford St. in East New York when a man came in and fired 11 shots, hitting him once in the chest, cops said.
“Eleven shots?...It’s sad. He don't bother nobody,” Margarita Navarro, 53, a deli customer, said. “What else can you say? This world is crazy.”
Yafaee’s murder is the second death at the bodega since January 2014.
