Sly & the family ‘stone’ for $400G
SYLVESTER STALLONE just gave his wallet a “Rocky”-style workout.
Stallone, 71, coughed up a whopping $400,000 to buy the backup statue of Rocky Balboa featured in 1982’s “Rocky III,” TMZ reports.
The actor showed it off in a Christmas Day Instagram post that featured pal Arnold Schwarzenegger mugging in front of the towering statue.
“Well look who drop by on Christmas! @schwarzenegger always fill the room with positive energy!” Stallone wrote.
The statue is one of two created by artist A. Thomas Schomberg; the first, featured in the film, is at the bottom of the stairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The 9-foot tall backupwas recently put for auction after spending time on display at the San Diego Hall of Champions, according to TMZ.
