Jax player: Incognito used racial slurs

- BY ARI GILBERG

HISTORY always has a way of repeating itself.

Richie Incognito, 34, allegedly directed racial slurs at Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue during Jacksonville’s 10-3 win over Buffalo Sunday, Ngakoue claims.

“Great win to day! And 64, you goin have to come harder than some weak racist slurs. I’m proud of my African heritage, as are 70% of the other Black players in this league. #Iaintjonathanmartin!” Ngakoue wrote on Twitter. Incognito wears No. 64 with the Bills. As a member of the Dolphins, Incognito was suspended for the final eight games of the 2013 season for “a pattern of harassment” that included racial slurs, homophobic taunts and other forms of harassment directed at then-teammate Jonathan Martin.

One of the most disturbing pieces of evidence from NFL investigator Ted Wells’ 2014 report was a voice message Incognito left Martin, referring to the offensive tackle as the N-word and saying he’ll kill him.

“Hey, wassup, you half-N-word piece of s--t. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. I’ll s--t in your f---ing mouth,” Incognito said, per Deadspin. “I’m gonna slap your f---ing mouth, I’m gonna slap your real mother across the face [LAUGHTER]. F--k you, you’re still a rookie. I’ll kill you.”

Then-Bills head coach Rex Ryan gave Incognito a second chance after he sat out the entire 2014 season, signing him to a oneyear deal in 2015.

The controversial offensive lineman has made the Pro Bowl each of the last three seasons.
