The Patriots host the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round Saturday night, so if he and the Giants choose each other, they could have an agreement in place but the Giants could not officially hire McDaniels until New England is eliminated.

The quarterbac­k situations will play a major factor. The Giants hold the No. 2 overall pick and have Eli Manning and Davis Webb, though Manning’s future with two years on his contract remains uncertain.

The Colts have Andrew Luck and former Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett but Luck’s health is a major question mark and could make the decision for McDaniels depending on what Indianapol­is can guarantee or share.
