Oprah won’t run, but I’d still win: Prez

- Terence Cullen

PRESIDENT TRUMP thinks he’d beat Oprah Winfrey if she runs for President — but doesn’t believe his fellow TV personality will make a bid.

“Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah,” Trump told reporters Tuesday ahead of a White House meeting. “Oprah would be a lot of fun.”

While Trump said he likes Winfrey, he continued, “I don’t think she’s going to run.”

Speculation that the longtime talk show host will run for President has picked up since she delivered a rousing speech Sunday night at the Golden Globes.

Trump’s comments are the first he’s personally made in the nearly two days since the speech, in which she said “a new day is on the horizon.”

Winfrey’s best friend Gayle King said Tuesday her media mogul buddy was “intrigued by the idea” but wasn’t “actively considering” a run in 2020, despite reports to the contrary.

Winfrey’s longtime consort Stedman Graham told the Los Angeles Times on Sunday she “would absolutely do it.” King, a “CBS This Morning” co-host, said Tuesday that Graham misunderstood the question and meant to say she’d make a great President.

In 1999, Trump said he would want Winfrey as his running mate if he ran for President.
