Former Trump aide testifies
A FORMER Trump campaign aide put his whirlwind media meltdown behind him Friday and showed up at federal court in Washington for a scheduled grand jury appearance.
Sam Nunberg, who vowed to defy a subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller in a series of interviews earlier in the week, did not speak to reporters as he entered court around 9 a.m.
He wound up testifying before the grand jury for about six hours. Nunberg said he’d been asked to provide Mueller copies of email correspondence he had with former Trump advisers Roger Stone and Steve Bannon.
Lawyers for Trump, meanwhile, are looking to negotiate a deal in which the President would meet with Mueller if the prosecutor sets a deadline to wrap up his investigation, The Wall Street Journal reported.
