RIDLEY RIDDLES BOYLE

-

English director (above) admits that he was a little shocked when he found out that

was making a movie, “All the Money in the World,” on the 1973 Getty kidnapping, as he was halfway through prepping a mini-series on the same subject.

Boyle didn’t pick up the phone to call his fellow director. “What am I going to say to Ridley Scott?” he said laughingly at an event for his series “Trust.” “Ridley, don’t do yours!’ Or ‘Ridley, come and direct one of our episodes.’ You can’t do that, it’s Ridley Scott!”

The “Trainspotting” director says that he hasn’t worked with many difficult actors.

“What you look for are challenging ones,” he explained. “So they’re not just going through the motions.”

It’s just been confirmed that Boyle is writing and directing the new Bond film and says he has a “great idea” for it.
