Man, 25, fatally shot in Queens

A MAN was found shot to death outside a Long Island City public housing complex Saturday, police said.

Sharef Graham, 25, was on the sidewalk near the Queensbridge Houses on Vernon Blvd. with a gunshot wounds in his chest and thigh when cops discovered him just before 8 p.m., authorities said.

Medics rushed Graham to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died.

His killer is still on the loose, police said.

Graham’s grief-stricken mother was struggling to understand why her beloved son was shot down in his prime.

“I really, truly don’t know what happened. I’m waiting for someone to call me and tell me what happened,” she told the Daily News, declining to give her name.
