CATCHING UP

Callaway confirmed on Saturday that Tomas Nido will start as catcher on Sunday when Noah Syndergaard takes the mound.

“I think that’s a good time to get him in there,” he said. “I feel like Syndergaard throws strikes and it feels like he can throw them where he wants to, so I’m not real worried about that.”
