Blaz blunt on pondering pot

MAYOR DE BLASIO harshed New Yorkers’ 4/20 vibe Friday, saying he’s still not convinced about legalizing marijuana in the city but that he’d make his mind up by year’s end.

“The question keeps coming up, and I think it’s fair that we need to do a deeper analysis and come up with an updated response, I want to do that,” de Blasio said on WNYC’s “Brian Lehrer Show,” where he was pressed for a timeline. “At some point this year, but I don’t want to give you a date yet.”

Hizzoner made the comments when he was asked about Sen. Chuck Schumer announcing his support for decriminalizing the drug, and on a day of the year that has become associated with potsmoking.
