Train hate vic tells of horror

- Edgar Sandoval and Rocco Parascandola

CONSTRUCTION worker Luis Lopez said Monday he was just minding his own business when a man in a “Make America Great Again” hat stepped toward him on a Manhattan subway platform, sized him up as a drug-dealing, jobstealing Mexican — and shoved him onto the tracks.

“I fell head-first,” said Lopez, 24, who came to America six years ago from Morelos, Mexico. “My head hit the railing. I tried to get up, but lost consciousness. I couldn’t move. My friend jumped in to get me out. He saved my life.

“Thank God there wasn’t a train coming — it would have been a sure death.”

The suspect (photo) in the Friday night attack at the Union Square station was still being sought late Monday. Police said he was wearing the red “MAGA” hat donned by President Trump during the 2016 campaign.

“I want police to catch this guy,” Lopez said. “He could push someone else on the track. Maybe the next person won’t survive. He’s dangerous.”
