A WASHINGTON Heights man repeatedly stabbed his wife with a screwdriver inside an upper Manhattan barber shop, in a horrifying scene caught on surveillance cameras, cops said.

The woman survived the attack.

Jose Castillo, 66, was charged with attempted murder. He remains held on $250,000 bail. LOCKED UP at Rikers Island, Estefania Solano said the hardest part is being separated from her three young daughters.

“Every day in jail is like a year when you’re away from your kids,” said Solano, 28.

Solano was one of three incarcerated mothers who reunited with their kids Monday at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan — part of a visit program being tested by the city.

First lady Chirlane McCray joined the families at the upper West Side museum.

“You can see that these kids miss their moms,” McCray said. “And it’s so important for their development to be with their mothers.”

The pilot program will let incarcerated women with good behavioral records spend time with their kids.

Solano, who is serving a three-month sentence for grand larceny, said she hopes to become a substance abuse counselor after she gets out.

“Jail makes you appreciate the outside world that much more,” she said.
