New heat on DA in bad rap
LAWYERS FOR A Bronx teen cleared in a 2015 shooting filed court papers Tuesday demanding prosecutors turn over results of an internal investigation into the case.
Pedro Hernandez’s lawyers claim Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark is blocking disclosure of the investigation, which examined allegations of misconduct against the case prosecutor and cops with the 42nd Precinct, court papers show.
The case against Hernandez, now 19, fell apart in September after a key witness alleged NYPD Detective David Terrell pressured him into fingering the teen as the shooter.
A second man claimed that 42nd Precinct cops and Hernandez prosecutor David Slott forced him to lie in 25 cases.
Slott is facing a range of lawsuits for coercing witnesses.
The civil trial in Hernandez’s lawsuit is a week away, but the DA’s office hasn’t turned anything over since Dec. 1, Hernandez’s lawyers claim.
A spokeswoman for Clark declined to comment.
