DI WILL BE CAST

Harry and Meghan nups to pay tribute to princess

-

The royal wedding is two weeks away and the stage is set. For starters, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will honor the memory of Harry’s mum, the late Princess Diana, who was killed in a 1997 car crash in Paris, according to a palace spokesman. It was also announced on Friday that Markle’s divorced parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, will meet with royals, including Queen Elizabeth II, prior to her May 19 nuptials.

At a briefing at Buckingham Palace, Harry’s press secretary Jason Knauf said Markle and Ragland will arrive in the days leading up to the ceremony to spend time with their soon-to-be extended family.

On the day of the wedding, the bride-to-be and her mom will travel together by car to Windsor Castle, where Markle’s father will walk his daughter down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel. Markle will not have a maid of honor. Harry’s brother Prince William will be his best man. William’s son, Prince Louis, born April 23, will not attend.

Royal watchers can spend the next couple of weeks guessing what the bride will wear. Information about Markle’s dress will not be announced until the day of the wedding. The ceremony will be televised around the world. An Order of Service will be posted on the morning of the wedding with details.

Officials declined to comment on where the honeymoon would take place, but did say the newlyweds won’t be leaving right away. Travel + Leisure reported last month that he pair was headed to Namibia. We reported that sources with ties to the royals also believed Jamaica had been given consideration.
