Zim busted in stalk of private eye

- BY ELIZABETH ELIZALDE

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN is in trouble with the law again.

Zimmerman (photo), who was acquitted in the fatal shooting of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, was charged with aggravated stalking and threatening private investigator Dennis Warren between Dec. 16 and Dec. 25, the Brevard and Seminole state attorney’s office said Monday.

He called Warren 55 times, left him 36 voicemails, texted him 67 times and sent him 27 emails during that time, a police report states.

In one text message, Zimmerman sent Warren a link to an article published on The Blast that quoted him saying: “I know how to handle people who f--k with me, I have been since February 2012.”

“Anyone who f--ks with my parents will be fed to an alligator,” Zimmerman wrote, the report says.

Warren asked Zimmerman to stop contacting him, but Zimmerman refused and texted Warren, “I’ll show up at your home you F-----G P---Y!!!”

Warren, a private investigator hired by Cinemart Productions, told police he initially contacted Zimmerman on Sept. 21, explaining that he and producer Mike Gasparro were interested in having him participate in an upcoming documentary about Martin’s life.

Police say the threats pertain to Warren and Gasparro’s “direct involvement in contacting and soliciting the potential participation of his family members for the production.”

The Seminole County sheriff’s office conducted an investigation into the allegations and notified the state attorney’s office of its findings on March 14, prosecutors said.

In July 2013, Zimmerman was found not guilty in the shooting death of the unarmed Martin, 17, who was killed in Sanford on Feb. 26, 2012. His death sparked nationwide protests from activists, including from the Black Lives Matter movement.

Zimmerman has had several legal troubles since his acquittal.

He was charged with assault and battery in November 2013 for allegedly pointing a gun at his then-girlfriend after kicking her out of their Florida home.

In January 2015, he was arrested for reportedly throwing a wine bottle at his ex-girlfriend’s head. But the charges were later dropped after she recanted her story.
