l Willson Contreras had two homers, two doubles and drove in a careerhigh seven runs on his bobblehead day, and the Chicago Cubs pounded the crosstown White Sox 11-2 at Wrigley.

l J.T. Realmuto had three hits, including his fifth homer, and the Miami Marlins broke a four-game losing streak by beating the visiting Atlanta Braves 6-3.

l Max Scherzer struck out 11 over seven innings of four-hit ball, Trea Turner hit a leadoff home run and the Washington Nationals beat the Arizona Diamondbac­ks 3-1 in Phoenix.
