Bernie group behind Nixon

ALBANY — Our Revolution, a national organization created by Bernie Sanders, on Monday endorsed Cynthia Nixon in her Democratic primary challenge to Gov. Cuomo.

Our Revolution President Nina Turner called Nixon “a bold progressive who is running in the spirit of Bernie Sanders.”

But while the group he founded has backed Nixon, Sanders himself is not likely to get involved in the race, Jeff Weaver, a senior adviser to the Vermont U.S. senator and his former presidential campaign manager, recently told the Daily News.
