It’s no game, we will stop thief – NYPD

- Thomas Tracy

THE NYPD wants this game to be over.

Cops are searching for a video game-loving villain responsible for robbing four Manhattan GameStop stores this month, officials said Tuesday.

The thief (photo inset) began his spree May 6, when he waltzed into a GameStop at 86th St. and Lexington Ave. and reached into an open duffel bag as if he had a handgun inside.

After threatening the worker, he ran off with $1,100 in cash, cops said.

He went back to the same store May 22, this time getting $600 from store workers.

Police said the thief hit an Upper West Side GameStop on Broadway near 84th St. about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, taking an undisclosed amount of money.

He then capped off the Memorial Day weekend by robbing a worker of $300 at a GameStop on Sixth Ave. near 22nd St.

No injuries were reported other than the worker in the third heist, who cut his arm when he was thrown to the floor, cops said.

Police described the thief as in his 40s, about 5-feet-11 and 200 pounds and having gray hair.
