‘Triggered’ by Eminem ‘gun’ blasts
EMINEM’S Bonnaroo performance was a little too real for some fans.
The rapper (photo) closed out a performance of “Kill You” on Saturday with a series of gunshot noises, as he has done for years, but the scary sounds were too much for some concertgoers to handle in the current climate.
“I hate to be the one to say it, but being someone who suffers from very mild PTSD, it was EXTREMELY irresponsible and distasteful to end songs w the shot gun sound effect i have grown up loving Eminem and his music but I was extremely triggered to the point of tears,” YouTube star Andrea Russett, 22, wrote in now-deleted tweets.
In October, 58 people were killed and 851 injured when Stephen Paddock opened fire on a music festival on the Las Vegas Strip. Twenty-two people were killed in a suicide bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert in May 2017 and 89 people died in a terrorist attack at the Eagles of Death Metal concert at the Bataclan theatre in Paris in November 2015.
