Aretha Franklin's many fans will have the opportunity to pay their respects later this month at a visitation in her hometown of Detroit.

A two-day public viewing will be held on Aug. 28 and Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, where the late music icon will lie in state, her publicist confirmed to the Daily News.

Franklin's funeral, which will not be open to the public, will then take place at the Greater Grace Temple on Aug. 31 at 10 a.m., and she will be entombed at Woodlawn Cemetery, which are both in Detroit as well.

Franklin died at 76 on Thursday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Her family decided to hold the visitation at the Charles H. Wright Museum because they anticipate far more attendees than a standard church could hold, according to TMZ, which also reported the public viewing will be open-casket.

Franklin regularly went to the museum.

A public visitation for Rosa Parks was held at the museum in 2005, with over 70,000 people attending the service.
