He’s no fan of President Trump, who he says regularly trashes immigrants, but Valentin Colon Montanez can’t complain about the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s response to Maria.
The 76-year-old resident of Yabucoa said he and his wife applied for aid, and were visited “right away” by FEMA agents.
“We had a really good experience with FEMA,” he told The News.
With a loan from FEMA, the couple was able to repave the driveway, repair ceilings, paint their house and replace two televisions.
“We had no problems with FEMA, but I don’t like Trump because he’s always insulting immigrants,” Montanez said.
