VIKINGS at EAGLES

-

4:25 p.m., Eagles by 3, 44½

HANK’S HONEYS: Two under-performing teams meet in a NFC Championship Game rematch. We’re growing short on patience with the Eagles but they are 13-1 SU in their last 14 games at the Linc and 8-1 ATS in their last nine games against the Vikings. There is something dreadfully wrong with Minnesota’s defense, which was supposed to be among the league’s best. Now, the return of Alshon Jeffrey and Jordan Mathews gives Carson Wentz his full array of weapons. The Vikes’ ‘O’, meanwhile, is averaging only 22.5 ppg. This is a big crossroad for the defending champs. Expect them to step up, maybe not by last year’s 38-7 title game pounding but enough to cover the FG. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Eagles and the over.
