Busted in bottle toss
Cops have locked up a man on riot charges after a raucous crowd threw bottles at police in Harlem over the weekend, and the NYPD is vowing more arrests will follow.
Darryl Henderson, 58, was busted Monday, after the caught-on-video incident, which the city’s police unions described as the result of reformminded politicians “surrendering our city.”
Police pulled up to Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. and 133rd St. around 3:45 a.m. Sunday to investigate a ShotSpotter activation, the NYPD’s hightech sensors for detecting gunfire, according to cops.
A crowd of over 500 pelted the officers, and their backup, with a rain of bottles, police said.
