Vid shows Brooklyn gambling den killer

- BY GRAHAM RAYMAN

New video shows a gunman opening fire in a Brooklyn gambling den shooting that killed one man and wounded three others.

Police on Thursday released the surveillance video and photos of three suspects wanted for the Oct. 7 killing at the illegal Brownsville parlor.

Longtime Bellevue Hospital employee Rodney Maxwell was shot in the chest and later died at Brookdale Hospital. A source said the Queens man was moonlighting as a bouncer and security guard at the Hegeman Ave. club known as the “G Spot.”

His family told the Daily News that the devoted father of three was simply caught in the middle when the gunmen stormed in.

Three other wounded victims escaped with their lives from the botched hold-up. A 44-yearold man was shot in one arm, a 32-year-old man was shot in one shoulder and a 31-year-old man was hit in one leg.

The new video shows the three suspects walking into the backroom, then one gunman stumbling backwards as he fires a shot.

Maxwell had survived a week-long battle with COVID-19 in March, and was a natural comedian with a heart of gold, his family said.

“He’s not the kind to get in trouble,” said younger sister Regina Jenkins last week. “Not the kind to get mixed up in craziness. There really are no words.”
