4WALK IN THE PARK: Brooklyn Naval Hospital Cemetery
Located on the southeast edge of the yard, this area was once a cemetery for US military service people. Its graves were relocated to Cypress Hills in Brooklyn in the 1920s. In May, the area reopened as a park, which contains a wooden pathway surrounded by mountain mints, butterfly weed and brown-eyed Susans. Designed by Marvel Architects, the park honors the fallen servicemen with a memorial meadow and a sacred grove. 63 Williamsburg St. West, Brooklyn; 718-522-0193, BrooklynGreenway.org
