76ers’ Simmons suffers broken foot

-

No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons broke a bone in his right foot Friday during the 76ers’ final training camp scrimmage at Stockton University in Galloway Township, N.J. The team said Simmons fractured the fifth metatarsal bone. It was unclear who long he will be sidelined.

He missed time early with LSU last season while waiting for an ankle injury to heal, and also left an NBA Summer League contest in July after suffering cramps in both legs.

Chris Bosh vowed to play again, just not for the Heat, because the franchise will not medically clear him to return. The All-Star forward responded in the fourth episode of his Uninterrupted series to Heat President Pat Riley saying his career in Miami was “probably over” Bosh has been experiencing blood clots since 2015-16.

“I guess my career in Miami is done,” Bosh said. “My career is not done. I did not expect that at all.”
