Giants stumble

Giants slammed as win streak snapped Beckham applauds Steelers pal, rips refs JPP hurt ugly loss

HERO

Ben Roethlisberger was in complete command of his attack. He has had better statistical games (24-of-36, 289 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT), but he smartly worked the ball around, deftly lofting screen passes to keep the Giants off balance and keep the chains moving for the Steelers.

ZERO

Eli Manning (24-of-39, 195 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs) certainly did not win his individual duel with Roethlisberger. Manning’s two interceptions were costly and unnecessary — the first was an absolute killer. He also has a tendency to forget about certain receivers — this time it was a very frustrated Victor Cruz.

UNSUNG HERO

Rookie CB Eli Apple came up with his first NFL interception when he wrestled the ball away from Eli Rogers. Apple also alertly came up with a fumble recovery when Le’Veon Bell was stripped clean. Apple was around the ball all game.

KEY STAT

0 That’s how many times Victor Cruz was targeted in this game. That should not happen and it is another example of the dysfunctional nature of the Giants offense. The wrong guys get thrown to too often.
