A driver and a passenger died in a car that split in two after it slammed into a fire hydrant in Queens early Saturday, police said.

The blue 1994 Toyota Corolla was headed east on 100th Avenue near 205th Place in Hollis just before 1 a.m. when the driver lost control and rammed into the hydrant, said cops.

The driver, Blake Gary, 22, was declared dead at the scene. James Montague, 21, who was in the front seat, was rushed to Queens Hospital Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Front-seat passenger Christopher Baptiste, also known as “Bishop,” escaped with only scratches and refused medical treatment.

The front part of the car ended up flying onto a neighbor’s lawn across the street, said the resident, Sadie Yarbrough.

“I was lying down and I heard this loud noise,” Yarbrough said. “When I came to the door, I saw half of a car in my yard.”
