MILES Teller was arrested in San Diego on Sunday for allegedly being drunk in public, police told Page Six. Teller, however, denied on Monday that he was arrested, tweeting that he was just “detained.” Local law enforcement said Teller, 30, was partying with a group of male pals when an officer on the street noticed he was showing signs of being under the influence of alcohol, The Post’s Francesca Bacardi reports. The officer approached the “Divergent” star, who cops say appeared to have bloodshot eyes, was swaying side to side and slurring his words. While being evaluated, the actor nearly fell, according to police. The officer on the scene determined Teller couldn’t care for himself and took him to a detox center so he could “sleep it off ” for four hours. But police also say Teller was uncooperative with the center’s staff, so he was rejected from their care. Teller then was transported to San Diego Central Jail and later released. Teller tweeted: “Went down to SD to see my buddy before he deployed. I wasn’t arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime.”
