PakPakista­ni human-rights activistti­vist Malala Yousafzai — whowho was shot in the head for advoadvoca­ting for girls’ educationt­ion and went on to become the youngesty recipient of the NobeNobel Peace Price — has enrollerol­led at Oxford University. YYousafzai, 20, revealed ThThursday on Twitter that sshe had been accepted to the prestigiou­s British university after passing her A-level exams, which determine whether applicants are alloallowe­d in. “So excited to go to Oxford!ford!!” Yousafzai tweeted, along with a screenshot of her acceptance­a letter.

“WWell done to all A-level studestude­nts — the hardest year,year,” she wrote. “Best wishwishes for life ahead!”

ThThe activist was 15 in 2012 when a Taliban gunman attacketac­ked her in Pakistan, shooshooti­ng her in the head over her campaign to educatecat­e young women. She won the NNobel Prize in 2014.

YouYousafz­ai, who now lives in ththe UK, will be studying politpolit­ics, philosophy and economnomi­cs at Oxford’s Lady MargMargar­et Hall.
