‘Insane clown’ protest

New York Post - - NEWS - Dean Balsamini

More than 1,000 fans of the rap group Insane Clown Posse gathered in Washington on Saturday to protest the FBI’s classification of them as a gang.

The band’s followers, called Juggalos, rallied in front of the Lincoln Memorial in a show of strength and unity. The ICP is suing the Department of Justice to lift the designation of the Juggalos as a gang similar to the Crips.

The protesters listened to a series of speakers and musicians amid clouds of marijuana smoke.

The Juggalos claim to be a nonviolent community that is the victim of largely class-based discrimination by law enforcement.

Hundreds of President Trump’s supporters also rallied in DC, sparking one smart alec to tweet: “#JuggaloMarch and Trump supporters both marching. One is a group of people who worship an insane clown, the other is a group of Juggalos.”
