‘Sick’ firing at pot biz

New York Post - - NEWS - Chris Perez

A Hell’s Kitchen woman is suing a legal-cannabis business owner, claiming he fired her because she’s suffering from Stage 4 breast cancer.

Pamela Johnston, 49, claims she was also fired for reporting numerous office affairs and tattling on a woman who refused to wear underwear.

Johnston, a former senior vice president, served ex-investment banker Leslie Bocskor and his cannabis-industry advisement firm, Electrum Partners, with her suit on Thursday after filing it in Manhattan federal court.

Johnston accuses the medicaland recreational-marijuana bigwig of terminating her this summer via e-mail, just weeks after informing them of her diagnosis.

“Electrum and Mr. Bocskor fired Ms. Johnston because she was suffering from cancer,” the suit says.

Bocskor, who is the founder and owner of Electrum, declined to comment Thursday.
