Track­ing some big losses

New York­ers lose $1.2 mil­lion on an av­er­age work­day — some $307 mil­lion a year — to sub­way de­lays.

Av­er­age work­day losses: $864,000 for city straphang­ers, $257,000 for noncity com­muters, and $109,000 for rid­ers mak­ing non­work trips

De­lays by month: 67,450 in May 2017, com­pared with an av­er­age of 20,000 a month in 2012

Lines with the most de­lays: 5,A, F, 4, 2
