Societ y broker stole listings: suit
A socialite broker used family connections to get a start in real estate at a Manhattan boutique firm, then stole multimillion-dollar listings when she jumped to a competitor, a lawsuit alleges.
Kleier Residential filed a $2 million suit against Isabel Solmonson Cohen and her new employer, the Runyon Group, in Manhattan Supreme Court.
“While the high-end realestate brokerage business is known to be sharp-edged and very competitive, Cohen’s treacherous conduct sets new standards of greed and malevolence,” the suit charges.
Cohen, 31, who started as a teen intern for Ian and Michele Kleier, “secretly stole certain multimilliondollar residential sales from Kleier Residential,” the suit alleges.
Neither she nor Runyon returned calls seeking comment.
