Conservative: Dems Are So Wrong On GOP Tax Bill

New York Post - - POSTOPINION -

Ed Morrissey at The Week is no fan of the Republican tax bill, but he says the “hysterical Democratic response” is worse than the GOP disunity that created the legislation. Liberals have “just matched Republican incompetence with their own ridiculous hyperbole and panic.” Case in point: House Dem Leader Nancy Pelosi labeling it “Armageddon” and “the worst bill” in congressional history. As opposed to, say, the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 or the Sedition Act of 1918? The real problem with the bill, says Morrissey, “is the opposite of Pelosi’s claims . . . it doesn’t go far enough.” It’s just “a mild adjustment to the status quo of individual taxes, not a groundbreaking effort to put America on the path of simplicity and fairness.”
