Awards show ‘hell’

New York Post - - NEWS -

ACTOR and comic Adam Pally couldn’t hide his disdain for the Shorty Awards — which honors social-media influencers and brands with categories such as Best Overall Instagram Presence and Meme of the Year. While presenting on Sunday, he called the ceremony, “the waiting-at-the-DMV of award shows.” “I think a career highlight will be when I am done,” Pally said. “I’m giving an award to a company. I’m 36 ... If you want me to host next year, hard pass.” At one point he summed up, “This is hell,” and, “This is the worst night of my life . . . I guess I’ll finish this s - - t show up.” He was shepherded offstage by a woman who wrapped up his lines.
