Police investigating burglary on Kristins Way
Newark Police are trying to find two people who may have broken into a home on Kristins Way last week.
According to NPD spokesman Cpl. James Spadola, the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. April 8 in the 100 block of Kristins Way, which is located off North Street.
The victim told police she got home around 1:35 a.m. and noticed the door to her second-floor landing was open and the front door lock was broken. The door was also cracked, which Spadola said indicates someone may have used a tool to get inside.
Nothing was reported missing from the home.
Police talked to a neighbor who saw two people – one holding a screwdriver – walking near the house during the time of the breakin. He described the first suspect as a black man with short hair, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing a navy blue pullover half-zipper shirt and light blue pants.
The second suspect is
a 6-foot-1-inch tall white man, 25 to 30 years old with slicked back hair and a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt.
