Church’s Triple Crown race to ben­e­fit home­less shel­ters

Head of Chris­tiana Pres­by­te­rian Church will hold its 19th-an­nual Triple Crown Trail Fes­ti­val on April 30 at the Car­pen­ter Recre­ation Area of White Clay Creek State be­gin­ning at 7:30 a.m. This rain-or-shine fes­ti­val fea­tures mul­ti­ple races, a fam­ily fun walk, en­ter­tain- ment by the Jug­gling Hoff­mans and re­fresh­ments.

Race times are stag­gered through­out the morn­ing. The half-marathon starts at 7:30 a.m., and the marathon be­gins at 7:40 a.m. The 10K race be­gins at 10 a.m., the 5K race be­gins at 11:15 a.m., and the fam­ily walk be­gins at 11:30 a.m.

Run­ners also may en­ter the Triple Crown, con­sist­ing of the 5K, 10K and half­marathon. Awards are given to top fin­ish­ers in each race.

Course de­tails, maps, fees, reg­is­tra­tion op­tions and other in­for­ma­tion are avail­able on­line at tcfes­ti­val.org. Reg­is­ter on­line at raceen­try.com. Ad­vance reg­is­tra­tion is en­cour­aged and in­cludes a free T-shirt. Reg­is­tra­tions also are ac­cepted on race day. All race pro­ceeds ben­e­fit lo­cal home­less shel­ters and hunger abate­ment pro­grams.
